Dr. Faradiana Osman graduated from Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences in 2011, and completed her housemanship at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, the second busiest hospital in Malaysia. She underwent six months of residency under General Surgery, and three years of intensive training as a resident in the Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit at Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah — arguably the busiest hospital in the state of Pahang receiving more than half of state emergency cases.

Within less than a month after leaving behind hospital work, she was entrusted with the role of CEO at Makeover Vacations (MV), a health service facilitator based in Bangsar KL for cosmetic surgeries and restorative dental services with deep connections to the aesthetics industry and the Malaysian Health Tourism Council (MHTC), providing services for international clients from over fifty different countries including Australia and the United Arab Emirates.

Following her passion, Dr. Faradiana successfully completed her Medical Aesthetic Certification conducted at University of Malaya by the Malaysian Society of Aesthetic Medicine (MSAM) in 2017, and has subsequently participated in numerous aesthetic workshops with internationally renowned aesthetic physicians. She has also added Diploma in Clinical Dermatology with AFPM (Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia) to her portfolio of skin expertise. When Dr. Faradiana first started her aesthetic label, Be Pretty Be Brave (BPBRV), it was strategically aligned with other brands started by other female SME entrepreneurs.

The years were busy and went by quick for her small company as it uniquely served more than thousands of clients, but the bane of small businesses was just around the corner as three years later a worldwide pandemic debilitated world economies. Just as the industry was beginning to open up to the public after a year of extremely limited operations during the enforced MCO throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, in December 2021, a tropical monsoon made landfall on the eastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia, bringing torrential downpours throughout the peninsula for three days. BPBRV situated in TTDI Jaya was a casualty of the major flood being in close proximity to Damansara River, and Dr. Faradiana and her team lost virtually 90% of their business. The dream for community empowerment through beauty was effectively perished.

But real life closely imitates the fictional stories that we love, and out of the despair of a trampled and broken business, Dr. Faradiana fought tooth-and-nail to rebuild what was lost. For her, the dream could never be over. “Keep fighting the good fight,” had been her mantra from the get-go, but time and again Dr. Faradiana has shown that she lives and breathes with that creed – pushing her dream ever forward. In March 2022, the move to a new clinic premise in 2022 not only provided the occasion for a much-needed facility facelift, but gave Dr. Faradiana and her team the opportunity to rebrand themselves in the industry. And that’s the story of how Belle & Brave Clinic was (re)born.
